Nearly 50 received the dental care they desperately needed for free when the Aspen Dental MouthMobile stopped in Wausau, WI on May 1 and in Minneapolis, MN on May 3.

The MouthMobile, a 42-foot-long mobile dental unit, travels the country as part of Aspen Dental’s Healthy Mouth Movement, providing free dental care to our nation’s veterans in roughly 30 different cities a year. In addition to the MouthMobile, Aspen Dental-branded practices open their doors to provide free care to veterans on an annual Day of Service. Since 2014, Aspen Dental teams have donated more than $10.4 million in dentistry to more than 17,000 veterans.

Father-son duo – Practice Owner Drs. Sid and Chad Schulz led the 19-person team giving back in Wausau. Wausau city mayor, Robert Mielke, Wisconsin State Representative Patrick Snyder and State Senator Jerry Petrowski, stopped by to mingle with the team and veterans and tour the MouthMobile.

In Minneapolis, Dr. Feliciano Salgado, who’s actively serving in the military, and Dr. Sara Cooper were joined by seven other volunteers to see veterans from the Twin Cities – one of whom received a replacement front tooth that day, so she could search for a new job.

The MouthMobile travels to Davenport, IA and Springfield, IL next week. Visit healthymouthmovement.com to see where the MouthMobile is headed next and to learn more about the Healthy Mouth Movement.
