Nearly 40 veterans received the dental care they desperately needed for free when the Aspen Dental MouthMobile stopped in Davenport, IA on May 8 and Springfield, IL on May 10.

The MouthMobile, a 42-foot-long mobile dental unit, travels the country as part of Aspen Dental’s Healthy Mouth Movement, providing free dental care to our nation’s veterans in roughly 30 different cities a year. In addition to the MouthMobile, Aspen Dental-branded practices open their doors to provide free care to veterans on an annual Day of Service. Since 2014, Aspen Dental teams have donated more than $10.4 million in dentistry to more than 17,000 veterans.

Dr. Shach Bahadur and 13 more team members treated 26 veterans from the Quad Cities. City of Davenport Alderman JJ Condon and Iowa State Senator Mark Lofgren stopped by the MouthMobile to learn about everything Aspen Dental does to support our nation’s veterans.

Two dentists – Drs. Ali Jarrar and Sana Khan – from Springfield were able to help veteran patients in their community at the MouthMobile stop. Springfield Deputy Mayor Bonnie Drew visited the Aspen Dental team and spent a lot of time speaking to the veteran patients.

The MouthMobile travels to Columbus, OH and Charleston, WV next week. Visit healthymouthmovement.com to see where the MouthMobile is headed next and to learn more about the Healthy Mouth Movement.
