As a reflection of our current needs and planned growth we are very pleased to offer an opportunity to join our growing Learning and Development team as the Senior Director, Learning Solutions.

 

The Senior Director, Learning Solutions is a cutting-edge leader who creates innovative learning experiences to advance business objectives.  He/she will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Learning and Development, serving as an integral member of the senior L&D team.  The Senior Director, Learning Solutions is responsible for strategies in the areas of learning design, technology, and metrics, and has accountability for the delivery of end to end learning and performance solutions.  These solutions include needs assessment, curriculum planning, course design, and implementation through technology and/or through facilitators.  A successful Senior Director is up-to-speed with current and future learning technologies and methodologies, while also being open to simple, traditional learning solutions depending upon the need.

 

Responsible for direct management of a remote/geographically-dispersed team in the areas of instructional design, learning technology, and learning metrics, the Senior Director excels at leading and engaging others to attain results. He/She also works effectively with external partners to ensure the quality of learning.  The Senior Director excels at building and maintaining strong work relationships across the organization.  He/She possesses the ability to manage multiple priorities while proactively engaging key stakeholders to ensure successful communications throughout the lifecycle of learning initiatives. 

 

The Senior Director has experience demonstrating learning’s impact on business results through data.  He/She makes data-based decisions, adjusting approach as needed to attain the intended results. The Senior Director is process-minded, while also ensuring speed and agility a fast-paced, high-growth environment. A successful leader will thrive in our dynamic and changing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Understands the business and its challenges in order to help address the learning and performance needs
  • A strong performance consultant who can complete a root cause analysis and provide a holistic recommendation to ensure performance
  • A strong relationship-builder who collaborates across the enterprise for the best results
  • Effectively leads and engages a high-performing remote team
  • Understands and employs basic change management principles in a high-growth organization
  • Employs practical learning solutions for a distributed network
  • Ensures seamless execution of programs and processes across the enterprise
  • Partners with others to solve problems and seize opportunities
  • Uses data to measure success: learn, iterate, and improve; analyze trends and develop proactive actions to further support business objectives
  • Effectively manages a budget
  • Serves as a steward of our words to live by and championing diversity and inclusion

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Education Level: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s Degree preferred
  • A minimum of 5+ years of relevant learning and development experience, ideally in a fast-paced organization with a distributed workforce
  • A minimum of 5+ years leading learning professionals
  • Experience implementing various learning technology solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to demonstrate the return on investment for learning initiatives
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and experience employing pragmatic solutions
  • Strong capabilities in the area of data analytics as it pertains to measuring learning
  • Experience providing consultation to senior leadership on strategic initiatives
  • Excellent influencing skills at all levels in the organization and extremely flexibility to be proactive in a fast pace, ever changing environment
  • Experience in developing, implementing and monitoring programs/processes that drive business results
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Word, Excel applications and company operational systems
