Learning and Development Coordinator

As a reflection of our continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity to join our L&D Team as a Learning and Development Coordinator.




As a Learning and Development Coordinator, you will be an independent contributor on a highly skilled Learning and Development Team. You will provide training administration and reporting support for a team that trains more than 800 Aspen Dental branded offices across the U.S.  The learners include doctors, hygienists, office managers, dental assistants, lab technicians, patient service representatives, central office support, and more. This is a fast-paced, rapidly growing organization where career opportunities are plentiful.



  • Works with our LMS (Learning Management System), a system that is used to track and report all training within the company. Uses the LMS to create reports, enroll and register learners in training, and other administrative duties.
  • Schedules training sessions and performs classroom support using our Zoom tool. This includes supporting facilitators, running polling and breakout sessions, and troubleshooting any complications that may arise.
  • Coordinates travel, meals, classroom set-up/break-down, transportation, supplies and souvenirs orders, and production of materials for training programs.
  • Communicates with registered participants and participants’ managers as needed to support preparation regarding registration, welcome materials, learning materials, and pre-work.
  • Creates and distributes course surveys, generates summary reports, and communicates findings.
  • Creates, updates, and distributes training calendars using the LMS or other tools.
  • Provides administrative support to ensure applicable programs comply with CDE (continuing dental education) standards. This includes supporting enrollment, pre and post-event communications, event management, and pre and post-event reporting and analysis.
  • Prepares communications for various learning programs as needed.
  • Coordinates other relevant correspondence, mailings, and shipping.
  • Is a point of contact for internal and external customer inquiries.
  • Responds to and resolves issues related to position and seeks supervisors’ guidance for non-routine inquiries.
  • Informs supervisor of trends and escalating concerns related to tasks and assignments.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience



  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Experience with LMS preferred
  • Continuing Education administrative experience preferred
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite – i.e., multiple Outlook accounts, Word, Excel, OneNote, PowerPoint, etc. and SharePoint
  • Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Has a professional presence, including the ability to interact with doctors, practice owners, and company executives.
  • This role is located in ADMI’s practice support center in Chicago’s trendy Fulton Market neighborhood near many shops and restaurants. With consideration for COVID-19, the role will be partially remote in the near term.  Once employees may safely return to work on-site, this role is expected to be full time on-site in Chicago.
  • Needs to be available 1-2 Saturdays per month.
