As a reflection of our continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity to join our Marketing Team as a Sr. Graphic Designer/Art Director.
Key brand guardian responsible for development of strategic communication to drive appointments and sales, and strengthen brand affinity, through sound, compelling creative solutions - concept through execution. Must be a self-starter and able to prioritize multiple initiatives. Responsible for guiding creative and production partners and coordinating the overall creative efforts for content development, advertising and experience marketing. Sets the tone and standards for Designers at all levels to springboard their creative solutions from. This includes, but is not limited to graphic & digital design, basic video edits, animations, photo art direction, copy development and message consistency to achieve stated advertising objectives and the supervision to ensure creative integration with category/service line campaigns and overall company brand direction. Must manage overlapping timelines and budgetary expectations. Provide our audiences with a cohesive yet uniquely tailored experience in a multi-channel, multi-platform ecosystem including digital marketing, social, CRM, web, in-store, national and regional advertising from OOH to OLV, special events and other collateral elements. Work closely with internal teams, agency partners and key vendors in developing design standards for the company across all marketing channels. Develop corporate identity elements, brand experiences and employee engagement materials for a consistent brand experience both internally and externally facing. Collaborate with Creative Team, Brand and Integrated Teams to concept and develop marketing campaigns, product branding and style guides, and socialize strategic direction with other internal and agency partners. Partner with other creative and brand teams to drive efficiencies of scale, being mindful of all channel needs across a campaign or nurture stream. Mentor Associate Designers/Designers, Writers and Video Editors, creating a team environment where inspiration and risk-taking are encouraged. Conceptualize and apply a design strategy to the overall aesthetic and creative execution of our digital content in keeping with our strong brand ethos. Pitch and present ideas, and oversee the proper execution of a multitude of projects. Understand cross-platform/responsive design and have the ability to create positive user experiences across the consumer/patient/employee journey. Bring a deep appreciation for intuitive and usable interfaces and have a “mobile-first” mentality. Solid skills in digital art direction, an excellent eye for typography, clean layout, purposeful color, and attention to detail are a must. Ideal candidate will be a proven team leader, trend-spotter, inspirer, innovator and mentor - partnering with internal clients, creative leaders and cross functional teams to craft compelling creative strategies and complete campaigns, and oversee their implementation.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Design: Idea conception and production of graphic design for a range of traditional and digital marketing materials. Develop appropriate design solutions within our campaign thematic and brand guidelines for the primary purpose of effectively conveying services or related brand messages.
Concepting: Develop ideas and strategies for campaigns and events. Concept and develop complete integrated marketing programs in conjunction with creative partners. Focus on thematic brand approach, visual and voice standards, activation ideas and tactical promotion to fully realize breakthrough creative that supports the brand vision and stands out from the clutter. Develop final style guides to be shared with internal and external partners. Articulate ideas, solutions and provide sound recommendations to secure alignment around strategic creative solutions.
Brand Steward: Actively foster an environment that makes new ideas possible for yourself and others. Provide non-judgemental critique and guidance to others and remain open to feedback. Act as key brand steward and champion in internal creative reviews. Support and/or stand in for Creative Directors during internal meetings and reviews as necessary. Be a creative catalyst for others in the department. Push the envelope and push the team.
Content: Develop shot plans (including swipe and inspiration boards/story boards for photographers/videographers, prop and wardrobe stylists and H/M-U) for location and studio photo shoots in conjunction with the Creative Director and other team partners. Photo art direct select shoots with an eye toward multi-channel usage, social relevance, audience relevance, quality, timelines and budget. Partner and have excellent communication with Director of Creative Ops, Content Studio Specialist and Digital Asset Coordinator to ensure effective and efficient quality productions. Responsible for the selection and editing of photographic/video assets within design work. Includes directing video editing, retouching, filters, etc. Responsible for delivering best in class photo/video assets that support our key business initiatives and strike points across all channels.
Strategy/PM: Participation in project initiation and strategy discussions with internal marketing partners including service line marketers, CRM and product planning, and other interdepartmental marketing functions. Partner with and lead outside agencies, freelancers and other support functions to ensure the success of each project from a timing, budget and quality perspective. Drive the creative process and champion process improvement initiatives.
Leader: Identify and adapt industry trends and innovations to continually push the envelope for creative excellence. Bring new ideas to ensure we are continuously improving the work, and the way we work. Must be a student of the craft - staying abreast of current retail trends and industry news, design techniques and best in class practices and procedures.
