Opportunity – Manager of Marketing Planning

The Manager of Marketing Planning leads the strategy, planning and day to day business management and creative development for 2-3 critical lines of business for Aspen Dental, such as (denture, orthodontics, implants, hygiene, financing, etc.) with the main goal of growing patient demand, improving focus and visibility on these treatments and improving patient experience with the brand. The role may also include the need to support the innovations team with the development, planning and roll-out of new product lines. This is a unique opportunity for an individual with brand management, product planning, and/or category management experience to guide critical product lines for the Aspen Dental brand.  Expanding and improving business results and patient outcomes on a high growth national healthcare brand. This role reports to the Director of Marketing Planning.  


  • Product/Service management – Ownership of 2-3 critical product lines for the Aspen business (ie. orthodontics, dentures, financing), creating business cases and utilizing or defining key performance metrics to develop proactive and reactive commercial plans and business reporting.
  • Annual product planning - Incorporate patient insights, seasonality, and annual product-line performance targets to guide timing product-line messaging, campaign features, and promotion timing
  • Omni-channel creative briefs - Ownership of creative briefs for creative development and channel execution including but not limited to TV, radio, print, in-office, and social when and where relevant.
  • Cross-functional partnership - Partner with external and internal agency partners, channel planning, internal communications, and field operations to bring commercial plans to life
  • Lead/ support the development of initial commercial launch plan and project management of lead market(s) for new innovations

Minimum Education and Experience

  • 5+ years brand, product, and/or retail management experience
  • Previous P&L ownership of brands, categories, or product lines.
  • Experience working with external creative agencies to develop and produce cross functional advertising campaigns and in-store messaging – television, radio and other cross channel campaign experience is preferred.
  • Strategic thinker with developed analytical and problem solving skills to translate findings into actionable insights and commercially viable plans
  • Must be comfortable with Excel and ideally developing Business cases or ROI plans
  • Flexible and comfortable working in a cross-functional capacity within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. 
  • Self-driven, agile, curious and passionate personality and can collaborate effectively with a diverse set of business partners (commercial, technical, medical, operations)
  • Organized, high attention to detail and project management.
  • Education: BA/BS
  • Role is Based in ADMI’s West Loop, Chicago Headquarters, however requires 5-10% USDM travel
