As a reflection of our continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity to join our Marketing Team as a Creative Director.

Responsibilities

The Director of Creative oversees our content to conversion vision with high expectations for excellence.  Solve business needs by identifying opportunities to leverage digital tools/interactions/experiences to influence audiences in every moment of their journey, from consideration through reengagement.  Must be a thought leader with a pulse on the ever-evolving customer "eco-system" of touchpoints and a strong business acumen. In this fast paced setting you must be able to set plans, orchestrate the flow of work, drive creativity and fresh ideas while also driving schedules, and being the go-to contact for your team to break down barriers to success. Collaboration is a critical tool in this endeavor, as is negotiation and problem solving.  You are a brand guardian responsible for the development of strategic digital communication to drive appointments/visits and sales, and strengthen brand affinity through sound, compelling creative solutions.  Play a leading role in developing strategic content solutions and opportunities that will leverage key businesses & service lines across the entire portfolio of brands. Ideal candidate will be a proven team leader, trend-spotter, inspirer, innovator and trail-blazer - partnering with internal clients, marketing leadership and cross functional teams to craft compelling creative content strategies, and oversee their implementation.  You must be able to bring the creative solution to life - sell the story - and earn consensus. Must be able to handle multiple overlapping tests and projects including digital marketing, educational and blog content distribution, in-store/office activations, app extensions, content production and media/event opportunities with a professional, reasoned demeanor. Most importantly, inspire, nourish and grow an outstanding team in a highly successful retail-mindset organization.      

 

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

 

THOUGHT LEADER: Understand and lead with customer insights - be able to develop compelling strategies across the customer journey, and build innovative plans that lean into data, embracing technology, while partnering closely with Integrated Marketing, Media, CX, Field Ops, CRM, Insights and Innovation teams in a test & learn environment. Proactively stay abreast of trends, tools and training. See the big picture of where the digital landscape is heading and translate this into strategic decision making. Act as a sounding board for your team and the organization - collaboration is key. Set the vision for your team and bring added-value solutions to the company.  Drive our brand mission and support our audiences through digital educational, informational and editorial content. Help bring our expert opinion to life through your own informed POV.

BUSINESS MANAGER: A right brain/left brain professional - where conceptual and creative thinking meets technology and data. Responsible for short and long range planning, budget development and oversight for testing, as well as the daily execution and delivery of creative traditional campaigns and digital products. Solve problems and remove road blocks. Collaborate and manage cross-functional resources efficiently and effectively.  Proactively look for ways to improve how we work. This includes vendor relationship management, internal client/stakeholder relations and setting clear KPIs for the team. Filter customer data and test results into learnings and recommendations to the Creative team, by campaign, by channel. Champion work that delivers a positive ROI and help advance successful innovations to scale.

CREATIVE EXECUTION: Drive brand-right work - build and frame the narrative as a way to share ideas, solutions and presentations. Must be able to provide good appreciation, facilitation and evaluation of the creative product. Suggest opportunities to strengthen the work through clear, decisive communication and guidance, while allowing your team to find those solutions.  Connect the dots with existing content and find new ways to be relevant, taking a holistic, customer-centric approach. Collaborate with Creative Directors, ACDs, Managers, Designers and Writers on campaigns, events, experiential marketing and digital content to drive best-in-class experiences for our audiences.

Minimum Education and Experience

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Art/Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, English, UI/UX or related field. 15+ years experience.
  • Must have a proven track record delivering creative solutions from concept through final execution. Must have a strong portfolio.
  • Experience growing and leading a team. Able to mentor and develop team members which in turn advances the creative product. Sounding board for not only those you lead, but peers and leadership as well.
  • Adobe Creative Suite, basic video editing and photo retouching/manipulation, photo art direction experience.
  • Partner cross-functionally, flexibility, ability to handle change in a fast paced environment, self-starter/proactive, prioritization, problem solving/trouble shooting, trusted leader able to own projects and initiatives
