VP, IT Infrastructure & Platform Support

Due to the size and scope of our rapidly-growing organization, this role has a lot of great opportunities and challenges. ADMI has two ongoing digital transformations with a cloud-native platform modernization that will empower an exciting digitalization of the dental industry with advances in 3D printing, scanning, AI, and much more. The efficiency of our corporate services and systems is critical for the continued growth of the business. In this role, you'll help lead and modernize tooling and services for the corporation.


The Vice President of IT Infrastructure and platform support will deliver high-quality, reliable infrastructure, including network, telecommunication, and desktop support services. This position will provide leadership and vision for the IT Infrastructure and platform support organization, transforming IT infrastructure to leading-edge cloud technologies to support our operational efficiency.  You will maintain strong vendor and IT relationships, with a focus on collaboration and direct communication. This position also oversees IT infrastructure priorities to ensure smooth and efficient operations and focuses on skill-set re-alignment, talent management, mentoring, and developing department staff.


  • Drive operation excellence within the organization, with a service-driven mindset for all corporate services and systems, bringing great tooling and techniques to the team.
  • Build a modern service-driven IT organization and modernize the tooling and systems for our corporate and physical locations to enable automation and efficiency throughout the company.
  • Build and drive the vision for our IT services, define and implement policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines as you partner with your peers on our digital transformations.
  • Build, hire and lead a diverse team across multiple locations, personally drive recruiting, staffing, and role definition and goals for your organization
  • Build up and unify the companies' support and ticketed systems ensuring that the organization's infrastructure and platform support SLAs are met.
  • Build up operational support of core infrastructure and platforms including, but not limited to: data center, data and voice networks, storage, systems, and associated services and ensure 24x7 support.
  • Work with Project Management Office and use appropriate methodologies, tools, and best practices helping drive and monitoring capacity and estimations within the organization.
  • Leverage 3rd party application services and consulting expertise as appropriate
  • Support IT leadership functions including annual planning, budgeting, status reporting, executive presentations, and continuous improvement
  • Lead multiple complex projects and technology initiatives and apply innovative solutions to system problems. Ensure the projects support strategic and near-term goals
  • Manages production technology incidents to resolution, ensuring timely engagement, escalation, and effective communication to business, technology, and vendor partners.
  • Keeps current with trends and issues in the IT industry, including current technologies and prices; advises and educates executives on their competitors and financial impact.

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required; Advanced Degree a plus
  • 20+ years of experience in IT positions with ten or more years in IT management required
  • Experience managing remote physical locations, such as retail or health industry preferred; experience managing 100s of sites a plus
  • Digital transformation, both IT and Technology experience, is a substantial benefit for this role with an understanding of one or more cloud technologies is preferred
  • Hands-on, collaborative leadership style with a heavy focus on business engagement and a service-driven mindset.
  • Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley and critical controls of IT infrastructure and data management such as PCI and HIPAA controls is a plus
  • Experience modernization processes with modern ticketing systems such as ServiceNow with support and operational processes and SLAs is required
  • A plus is an experience with the modernization of IT functions such as messaging systems, network, telecom, call systems, conferencing, and group collaboration software.
  • Expertise in operational excellence with metrics, monitoring, and experience in disaster recovery and business continuity is a strong plus.
  • Strong service-driven orientation and relationship management with organizational partners and customers are required.
  • We are building new infrastructure using state-of-the-art virtual & storage technologies.
  • Outstanding execution skills with the ability to deliver on strategic concepts through rigorous methodologies and effective project management are required.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills – verbal and written are required.
  • Have the ability to travel up to 10% of your time, mostly between offices.
