ADMI has reached the size to invest in building a technology platform that will transform and modernize the dental industry. Aspen has two ongoing digital transformations with platform modernization with a cloud-native migration that will empower an exciting digitalization of the dental industry with advances in 3D printing, scanning, AI, and much more.

 

As a Software Engineer, you will join one of our new teams focused on a core business domain. You will modernize legacy systems by developing new software and services using cloud-native (AWS/GCP) technologies, using Microsoft .NET (Core/5) stack on Kubernetes.

 

Our goal is to build a multi-region active-active platform utilizing Kubernetes and open-source software to support our ever-increasing footprint and patients. We’re embracing micro-services and building development teams behind core business domains. We’re investing in DevOps so our developers can deploy code as needed via automated pipelines.

We are building out an exciting new office in downtown Chicago that is coming online in the Fulton Market area or join us in Syracuse, NY, with our other development location. Responsibilities

  • Write new and enhance existing software and services using Microsoft .NET Core/5 technologies
  • Develop RESTful APIs leveraging automation and monitoring to push to production.
  • Contribute new ideas to improve software practices and processes
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver software solutions that align with the strategic direction of the business
  • Submit and conduct peer code reviews as part of our DevOps pipeline
  • Contribute to the entire life cycle of the development and software rollout process as we move towards our DevOps goals.

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 3+ years of hands-on experience
  • Microsoft technologies with strong .NET Core experience, data layer skills with SQL, Entity Framework, and NoSQL experience a substantial benefit
  • The previous transformation of legacy Microsoft codebases to .NET core is a substantial benefit
  • Proficient in the design of RESTful micro-services, you understand how CRUD maps to APIs and can stand by critical principles such as HTTP verbs, code
  • Experience with newer API approaches such as protocol buffers and graphQL is a benefit
  • Experience with one or more cloud platforms is a benefit
  • Experienced with building out and maintaining metrics, alarms, and monitoring for your code.
  • Experience with micro-services with hands-on Kubernetes experience is a benefit
