About the Role

We’re looking for a dynamic hands-on IT Director to join us and help us grow our new brand as we start from our first offices and work on our expansion plan for 2022. In this role, you will be responsible for all IT aspects of Chapter Aesthetics, owning both our technology stack and our IT infrastructure. This role requires a startup mindset, as you will get to wear many hats as we grow, adapt, and expand the brand. You’ll also have the support of Aspen Dental’s corporate IT resources and systems to back you up as needed.

 

This position will represent and provide leadership and vision for the Chapter Information Technology, including Digital Applications, Infrastructure, and platform support and transforming IT infrastructure to cloud technologies to support business agility and maintain strong vendor and IT relationships, focusing on collaboration and direct communications. This position also oversees Information Technology priorities for Chapter Aesthetics to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

 

Responsibilities

  • Own our technology stack (practice management system, electronic health records, customer relationship management, digital marketing platform across web, social, apps) to enable best-in-class patient and provider experience
  • Help drive data and tools, integrate new technologies into core stack, and help build a 360-degree view of the customer and employee.
  • Serves as a vital member of the Senior IT leadership team to direct applications, infrastructure, and platform strategy through active participation with executive management, external service organizations, and vendors.
  • Work with President, Chapter Aesthetics, and business partners to manage the IT governance process to help define priorities, rationalize needs, facilitate consensus, maintain business accountability and drive near / long-term roadmaps
  • Own digital and help Chapter build its digital capabilities into a key differentiator relative to competitors from customer acquisition, lead management, nurturing, digital consultations, appointing, in-office digital experience, after visit experience (treatment plans, photos), and CRM
  • End-to-end management of the newly implemented Zenoti platform (practice management system, electronic health records, and CRM) and development of future features and functionality. Support required integrations to existing and new systems and applications (e.g., Workday and Salesforce
  • Partner with Aspen Dental’s broader IT organization to support foundational IT needs across infrastructure, apps, hardware, and support
  • Work with VP’s, Senior Directors, Directors, and Managers of Aspen IT team along with Project Management Office and use appropriate methodologies, tools, and best practice
  • Facilitate effective and proactive business engagement through strategic planning, requirements definition, analysis, application support, quality assurance, issue resolution, and ongoing training
  • Provides vision and manages daily operations of core infrastructure and platforms including, but not limited to, data center, data and voice networks, storage, systems, and associated services.
  • Ensures infrastructure and platform support SLAs are established and metrics are collected and reviewed regularly with the CIO and executive management
  • Manages End User services, including 24x7 support for applications and infrastructure, hardware, collaboration tools, metrics, and monitorin
  • Support de novo IT package development and IT go-live for each de novo opening
  • Support IT leadership functions including annual planning, budgeting, status reporting, executive presentations, and continuous improvement
  • Be a key participant in enterprise and IT planning, and collaborate with enterprise and IT senior management to assure alignment of goals
  • Ensure all projects are delivered within scope, budget, and adhere to company governance processes
  • Manages production technology incidents to resolution, ensuring timely engagement, escalation, and effective communication to business, technology, and vendor partners.
  • Keeps current with trends and issues in the IT industry, including current technologies and prices; advises and educates executives on their competitors and financial impact.
  • Actively promotes the mission of the company within the organization.

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred. Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in IT business applications, IT infrastructure, and software development
  • 5+ years working as an IT executive leader in a shared service organization.
  • Experience designing, developing, and supporting business and customer-facing web solutions using relevant technologies
  • Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley and key controls of IT application management
  • Outstanding execution skills with the ability to deliver on strategic concepts through the use of rigorous methodologies and effective project management
  • Hands-on, collaborative leadership style with a heavy focus on business engagement
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work autonomously
  • Ability to articulate value-based solutions to complex business problems
