The Finance Manager, IT role will be responsible for the management of key financial and procurement activities, including but not limited to overseeing IT spend, managing, supporting, and governing contracts, managing vendor relationships, and acting as an IT liaison to enhance transparency, trust, accountability, and alignment between IT and its corporate business partners.

Responsibilities

  • Work with IT Leadership, Accounting, and Finance teams to accurately forecast yearly IT operating and capital requirements across all categories, including maintaining a multi-year forecast
  • Work with IT Leadership team in creating an annual plan identifying opportunities (quality improvement, cost containment and operational efficiency) and assess their financial impact
  • Work with IT Leadership to develop strategies based on changing market conditions and company needs
  • Oversee finance and budget for IT ensuring the department remains on budget; serve as the liaison to explain any variances in IT forecasts and corrective actions as necessary
  • Oversee all activities related to procurement of IT hardware and software, from intent-to-purchase through delivery
  • Act as IT SME, working with Procurement team, in developing a pro-active/timely sourcing strategy to solicit material quotations (RFQ/RFP)
  • Manage IT Request for Proposal events through the utilization and implementation of Statements of Work and Master Service Level Agreements
  • Monitor strategic IT vendor/supplier agreements to ensure commitments are met
  • Work with contract-administrators to review contract expirations, ensuring effective execution strategies for renewals
  • Work with Legal and strategic sourcing teams to review contractual details prior to execution
  • Work with strategic sourcing group to streamline and improve sourcing processes for IT
  • Facilitate a periodic analysis of the IT organization's asset inventory and ensures both completeness and accuracy for tax, financial reporting, and technology refresh purposes
  • Oversee IT requisition order activities and ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulatory requirements
  • Manage and optimize strategic vendor/supplier performance, including contract compliance, continuous improvement, innovations, and reduction in total cost of ownership
  • Maintain current knowledge of IT trends, vendor capabilities and changes within the technology landscape for traditional and emerging solutions
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with IT vendor/supplier(s) while effectively resolving issues ensuring alignment with company expectations
  • Manage the execution of financial-related IT monthly activities, including budget to actual meetings with IT Leaders, Operational meetings with Finance teams, and all associated reporting
  • Administrative processing and tracking of IT invoices

Minimum Education and Experience

Skills Required:

  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience of hardware and software procurement best practices and methodologies
  • Must have working knowledge across both application and infrastructure teams, relying on experts from both areas 
  • Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management
  • Excellent organizational, communication, collaborative and interpersonal skills to foster respect and teamwork with internal and external partners
  • Ability to organize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously with close attention to detail and prioritization to meet deadlines
  • Excellent procurement, influence, negotiating, and customer service skills with an execution focus and the ability to prioritize
  • High professional and ethical standards for handling confidential information
  • Ability to develop and apply strategic planning processes
  • Ability to gather and analyze data
  • Strong math skills
  • Strong track record for analyzing complex problems/issues, identifying patterns and recommending creative solutions
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced industry
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience
  • 5 years' experience in IT purchasing/procurement and vendor relations required
  • Demonstrated experience in sourcing strategy development and implementation
  • Familiarity with the contract management and administration
  • Broad IT expertise in various disciplines, like program/project management, applications management, strategy and planning, and financial management
  • Proven record of service excellence
