As reflection of our continued growth we have an exciting opportunity to join our operations team as the Vice President, Total Rewards and Human Resources Operations.

 

The Vice President, Total Rewards and Human Resources Operations is a critical role for our rapidly growing organization. Reporting directly to the Chief Human Resource Officer, he/she will partner with key business leaders to drive the transformation of the Total Rewards strategy to ensure Aspen Dental can attract, engage, and retain top talent at every level.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Total Rewards, HR operations and HRIS functions for Aspen Dental, optimizing and elevating current programs to attract, retain and motivate talent in a multi-matrixed company.
  • Develop and implement the processes and technologies to align our attraction, retention, and engagement programs to consistently be recognized as a Best Place to Work. 
  • Set a vision for what Total Rewards will look like in the future and will act now to deliver that future vision.
  • Retool the Total Rewards and HR Operations team skills and talent through coaching and reorganization to best serve the organization’s needs and provide industry leading consultative and strategic total rewards expertise. 
  • Define and manage the multi-stakeholder implementation, communication and education of Aspen’s Job and Wage Structure to manage pay strategically, equitably, and fiscally responsibly. 
  • Optimize medical plan designs each year to reduce YoY expense increases to market norms.
  • Lead Aspen Dental through Workday stand up. The successful candidate will have experience implementing Workday and will be responsible for ensuring a seamless transition to Workday for team members.
  • Lead and scale HR operations teams in a high growth, decentralized environment. The successful candidate will rethink our team structures and processes in an innovative way as we grow. 
  • Leverage data to make programmatic decisions and industry leading benefits recommendations along with innovative funding solutions. 
  • Act as a critical member of the HR leadership team and Aspen Dental organization. The successful candidate will balance strategic and administrative responsibilities to ensure strategic goals and day-to-day service and compliance needs are met.
  • Develop a culture that encourages innovation. The successful candidate will recognize that change is the only constant and Aspen Dental’s Total Rewards philosophy and strategy will need to continue to evolve as we grow.

 

Minimum Education and Experience

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10+ years of relevant HR experience working across multiple business units and functions with significant exposure to best-in-class Total Rewards, performance, and talent management practices.
  • Validated success running HR projects from design through completion within a corporate structure and to a distributed field organization.
  • Experience leading Workday implementation and post-Go Live burn-in.
  • Demonstrated track record leading successful HR initiatives and process within different models of multi-unit businesses, ideally with experience in a high-touch or high-stakes fast-paced service, hospitality, or retail environment.
  • High level of ethical, intellectual, professional, and person values that complement the team and company culture.

 

EDUCATION:

  • An undergraduate bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or related discipline. Advanced degree preferred.
