As a reflection of current needs and planned growth we are excited to offer the opportunity to join a dedicated team as Financial Analyst – Insurance. The Financial Analyst – Insurance will provide financial and analytical support to our Insurance and Contracting division which negotiates and maintains payor contracts with 3rd party dental insurance companies. 

Responsibilities

As a Financial Analyst - Insurance, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting senior management through gathering and analyzing financial and demand-related metrics
  • Building predictive consumer and financial models to help forecast future performance
  • Identifying insights and correlations between patient demographics/psychographics, patient lifecycle and treatment plan behavior, and business results
  • Mining and analyzing internal and external data / metrics in order derive ROI and develop insights regarding divisional performance and company initiatives
  • Monitoring industry trends and relating them to the business
  • Helping develop consumer segmentation models
  • Creating ad hoc reports and analyses as requested
  • Having full understanding of how key metrics are derived, what they mean and what drivers relate to each.
  • Enforcing data integrity, accuracy and governance in financial and management reporting

Minimum Education and Experience

Minimum Education and Experience

  • BS in Finance, Business, Statistics, or Marketing Analytics
  • 2-5 years of experience in an analytical role required. Experience with predictive modeling also desired
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint are required
  • Ability to check and review large data files for accuracy and completion
  • Ability to excel in fast paced environment, take direction, and handle multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required and must be a team player

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Business, Statistics or Marketing Analytics preferred
  • Insurance analytics experience is preferred, including plan analysis and payer discrepancy investigation
  • Experience in presenting complex analysis to a non-technical audience
  • Visual Basic and/or Microsoft SQL Server and SAS (or other statistical software) expertise is a plus
