As part of your career development, ADMI offers an in-depth training program for anyone interested in becoming a Lab Technician. We realize that many candidates have the aptitude and enthusiasm for the job, but lack the required training and skills. You might be a Dental Assistant who wants to advance your career. Or an individual who enjoys creating things with your hands, like an artist or mechanic. Or perhaps you’re an existing lab technician who wants to improve your skills. As long as you want to make a difference in patients’ lives, ADMI wants to make a difference in your career.
The program provides comprehensive, hands-on training, from impression to insert. From day one, you’ll have your own lab tech trainer and work alongside Aspen Dental dentists. Over the course of your training, you will:
Learn how to fabricate quality dentures and hone your craft.
See first-hand how your work brings a smile to your patients.
Receive feedback on your product and progress.
Gain confidence in your abilities.
Receive great pay and benefits.
Be guaranteed a job upon graduation.
The typical program takes 48 weeks, but if you have existing lab tech skills and dedication, you can graduate sooner. And there is no cost to attend the program.
The program has four stages of development:
Training: Develop your skills and knowledge with the help of your trainer and dentists.
Internship: Test your skills in Aspen practices and determine if you’re ready to be independent.
Graduate: Take a final exam and complete your dentures certification process.
Lab Technician: Work as a lab technician or lab manager at one of the more than 500 Aspen practices nationwide and enjoy your new career!
Supporting Lab Technicians
In the spirit of taking care of the people who care for the patients, we’re proud to announce a program to support Lab Technicians in attaining their Certified Dental Technician (CDT) designation in Complete Dentures. Beginning in December 2016, ADMI will reimburse technicians 120% of the cost associated with the application process and exam fees. That’s not all. Once certified, ADMI will continue its support by reimbursing technicians for their annual renewal fees.
