From Mother to Office Manager to Lab Technician and Beyond
Although seasoned in the dental field, Cyndee Adolfi-Caruso chose to raise her children at home for 11 years before joining the Aspen Dental family. She describes her journey: “In 1994, I gave birth to my first child and chose to stay home to be a full-time mom. In 2006, with my three children in school, I decided to go back to work. Aspen Dental was opening a new office in New Hartford, NY and I applied for the position of Office Manager,” said Cyndee. After working as Office Manager, Cyndee jumped at the opportunity to train as a Lab Technician. From there, Cyndee has shown a knack for her new career and has since been promoted to a team lead.
One reason Cyndee enjoys working at Aspen Dental is because her position gives her time to do things outside of work. You'll find Cyndee snowboarding, playing tennis, golfing, creating art and reading. Best of all, she says, she loves spending time with friends and family on the weekends.
When asked why her Lab Technician position has been the best fit so far, Cyndee talks about her connection with her patients. “This position allows me to feed my tactile abilities. I love working with patients and helping overcome problems that they encounter while wearing dentures. I love the look on a patient's face when they smile for the first time in their new dentures, especially when it's an immediate denture and it changes their whole life,” said Cyndee.
Cyndee's unique story of internal growth makes her a success at Aspen Dental.
