For most people, having a toddler at home and expecting your second child would be the perfect time to ease up on your career, at least temporarily. But Dr. Amrita Reddy is not most people.
Already the managing clinical director in Aspen Dental’s practices in Medford and Woburn, MA--and eight months pregnant--Dr. Reddy became owner of Aspen Dental offices in Manchester and Nashua, NH, in 2008. She added a second location in Nashua to her practice in October 2009.
I didn’t want to own a dental practice
someday, I wanted
to own one today.
“I wouldn’t have been able to even consider these great opportunities, let alone take advantage of them, if not for the great day-to-day support I receive from Aspen Dental,” Dr. Reddy said. “One of the unique things about a career with Aspen Dental is that I can strike the balance of realizing my dream of ownership and growing a family at the same time…The Aspen Dental model made it possible for me.”
Despite attractive offers from several private practices in the Boston area, Dr. Reddy sought an opportunity to provide comprehensive care to patients who lacked ready access to it. She enjoys educating patients about the importance of oral health.
“With Aspen Dental I knew I could have a positive impact on a greater number of patients, and that was very appealing to me,” she noted.
Without having to handle the administrative aspects of running a dental practice alone, Dr. Reddy has honed her leadership and clinical skills, taking advantage of Aspen Dental’s ongoing training and development and Continuing Education opportunities. She relishes the challenge of owning and expanding her practice.
“I’ve learned how to manage and develop a staff and my business acumen has grown tremendously. I receive fantastic support from Aspen Dental, which allows me and my team to provide quality care to patients. At the end of the day, that’s what it’s all about,” Dr. Reddy said.
Aspen Dental has delivered opportunities and success that Dr. Reddy could only have dreamt about. “I’m excited and very proud of what I’ve been able to accomplish,” she said.
