Our philosophy is simple: our people drive our growth.That’s why our commitment to training and development is second to none.
We invest more than $6 million in training and professional development programs annually. And each year, more than 500 doctors, hygienists, regional and office managers (OMs) travel to the Practice Support Center to take advantage of various developmental programs in our state-of-the-art training facility. We also deliver training to your doorstep – members of the training and development team travel around the country to conduct on-site training in Aspen Dental offices.
What sets our program apart? It’s our team of seasoned professionals, who bring more than 100 years of combined operations, clinical and classroom facilitations experience. In fact, our training and development team recently received the CNY BEST Learning and Performance award from the American Society for Training and Development in recognition of excellence in learning and performance practices that link learning to strategic growth.
Our research shows that these programs work – clinicians and managers who go through our training program demonstrate improvements in key areas like treatment plan acceptance and patient scheduling.
Office Managers
Our extensive 10-week OM training program takes a blended learning approach, covering everything from clinical experience to office operations to classroom / hands on learning to gain knowledge. Office mangers have an opportunity to meet with executives, develop consultation skills, and establish systems foundation to apply in field. After completing the program, the majority of participants meet their office budget in their second full month as an OM.
Our award-winning Blended Learning Approach is based on the philosophy that today’s employees require ongoing support for learning, rather than single, exhaustive knowledge download. We offer deskside training, giving OMs access to e-learning modules, which allows for self-paced training. Social learning tools like blogs and message boards allow OMs to communicate with one another and share experiences and best practices.
Our training and development team also conducts in-market meetings with doctors, office managers and hygienists to work on team execution, patient care, and practice improvement.
